Pat Fry Elected to VHA Board of Directors
SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 5, 2009 - Patrick E. Fry, Sutter Health President and CEO, has been elected to the VHA board of directors.
VHA Inc is a national network of more than 1,400 not-for-profit community hospitals and 23,000 non-acute care providers who work together to improve their clinical and economic performance. The VHA board includes executives and physicians from member organizations, as well as directors from outside the VHA membership
As a member of VHA’s board of directors, Fry will provide counsel regarding the strategic direction of VHA and review decisions that affect the cooperative's financial performance and return to members. Additional board members include representatives from Yale-New Haven Health System in Connecticut, Sentara Health Care, Allina Hospitals & Clinics, and Providence Health System in Seattle, among others.
Fry also serves on several other prominent boards for organizations in California including the California Hospital Association (Chair-elect), California Regional Health Information Organization (member) and California Business Roundtable (member).
